Ryukyu Kobudo (Okinawa Kobudo) enthusiasts from within and outside the prefecture gather in Okinawa, the birthplace of Okinawa, to deepen exchanges and friendships, and to further popularize and brand Ryukyu Kobudo, which can be said to be an Okinawan resource. We will hold an international convention of Ryukyu Kobudo that actively adopts modern methods with the aim of improving Okinawan culture and contributing to the promotion of Okinawan culture and attracting tourists.
1. Hold a hybrid-style competition that uses both face-to-face and online・Introduces online “type” competitions in addition to the usual “kata” competitions.

Competition content*Classes are subject to change depending on the number of participants.
● Kata competition (face-to-face)

・ The Kata of competition is a flag tournament, which is a two-person battle between Bo(sticks) and Sai. (9 classes each)
1. Boys 1st division (3rd and 4th grades of elementary school)
2. 2nd grade of elementary school (5th and 6th grades of elementary school)
3. Junior high school students (men and women)
4. High school students (men and women)
5. General female
6. General male (Kyu grades)
7. General male (Dan grades)
8. Middle age (50 years old and over)
9. Persons with disabilities
* If desired, the middle-aged class members (Kyu grades) are allowed to participate in the general male class, and the middle-aged class members (Dan grades) are allowed to participate in the general male class as well.
* First and second graders of elementary school can participate in boys’ first division.

● Kata competition (online)

Send videos to the secretariat outside the prefecture.
Awards will be given online on the day of the competition.
・ The Kata of competition is a two-person battle between Bo(sticks) and Sai, and a scoring system. (6 classes each). * Age is as of April 1, 2022
1. Boys 1st grade, 3rd and 4th grade elementary school(8 to 9 years old)
2. Elementary school 2nd grade, 5th and 6th grades (10 to 11 years old)
3. Junior high school boys and girls (12 to 14 years old)
4. General girls 15 and over
5. General male class (Kyu grades)15 years old and over  
6. General male class (Dan grades) 15 years old and over

● Actual battle Ryukyu Kobudo kumite (face-to-face only)

・ Nanshiki (beginner)kumite competition 3 classes
1. Boys 1st division (3rd and 4th grades of elementary school)
2. 2nd grade of elementary school (5th and 6th grades of elementary school)
3. Junior high school students (men and women)
・Koshiki (Advanced) kumite competition 2 class
1. General high school boys and above
2. General high school girls and above

Instructions: For participants inside and outside Japan, please fill out the form on this site and send it.

● How to participate in online competitions

Participants are kindly requested to submit the video of the type taken by November 25, 2022 (Friday) from this site form.
* 1080p (Full HD) recommended. The file size should be less than 1GB. * If the file is large, it may not be possible to send it.

●How to pay

Please pay by the designated method on November 25, 2022 (Friday).
* After confirming the application details, the secretariat will inform you of the payment method.
* Participants from overseas should pay the participation fee via PayPal.The secretariat will tell you how to pay with PayPal after you apply for participation.
